I would guess the $299 is not an inverter generator. Some newer appliances like inverter generators.
Inverter? Also Westinghouse is bottom of the barrel.

Yes. My bad, I didn't see the word inverter in this post title. Westinghouse is the same as champion and many others. Engine made overseas and assembled here

Going out on a limb here - but I don't believe that you purchased a 4500w dual fuel inverter generator for $299. I could be wrong, but I very well may not be.
This is a VERY slick deal for these specs.
