The biggest problems with these language learning apps is the people that skulk around and shame you from using them because it's not going to make you fluent in a language. Yes, you're not going to learn Spanish perfectly without resources outside an app, but it really helps getting started and remaining on the course to learning an additional language.

I have a 5+ year streak going and can tell you without a doubt I know multitudes more Spanish now than I did when I started. Would I have learned more Spanish in those 5+ years if I took classes? Absolutely, but I took Spanish in school for 13 years and barely learned anything. It's all what you make of it

Incidentally, I renewed mine today for $59. Also, I completed 1,000 day streak today!. I started with the free version. It limited how much I can learn. I then switched over to the paid version and it has been worth it. I speak a good Spanish now (I am 65y old) and understand 90+%. I am going to Mexico City in 2 weeks so that I can use my skills and learn more Spanish too. Please remember that paying $59 doesn't make you fluent in Spanish. It is the time you spend learning and this app makes that possible. $5 a month is worth it. There are also free podcasts to learn conversational Spanish, but very limited.

For what it's worth, I found the annual subscription via Google Play is always $59.99, but more like $85 via Apple.

All I see is "two weeks free". In fact, I can't even see how much the sub will cost after the two weeks. On iPhone

Would like to do family because my kid gets extra credit in French but the ads drive her crazy

I don't see deal, only 2wk free trial.

I was contemplating buying into a family plan slot. ($120/yr for 6ppl)
I just did this for nintendo switch online today for $7 (paid extra for family service) vs $20 per person.
