oh...translate. Plenty of high end projectors that are refurbs means customer rejected for various reasons to have enough stock to sell.
refurb projectors are a huge risk. Better read why so many refurbs...or problems at AVS forums.
most laser projectors suck at contrast.
oh...this did not take long to find on the reviews
I fully regret my purchase, and this projector has convinced me to never buy Samsung Again. This was supposed to be an "upgrade" from my 1080P UST Laser Projector (from another manufacturer). I'll admit the pros up front though Pros: -Very clear. The 4k is crisp -Bright. The Laser light source does it's job, but see con about contrast. -Quiet Fans. The fans on this projector are pretty much silent Cons: -TERRIBLE contrast!! This isn't a screen/lighting issue. Comparing to my previous projector, the Samsung is significantly washed out in Dim scenes. When the screen should be black, the Samsung still bleeds too much light. Bad light engine design. -ADVERTISEMENTS! After spending several thousands of dollars on this projector, Samsung sees fit to put advertisements IN the ...More
Not good enough to justify the price
I had really high expectations from this projector - and rightfully so, it cost an arm and a leg! Set up was easy enough and the picture quality was a big step up from my old (and much cheaper) 1080p projector. But, and it's a big but, the contrast/black levels are extremely poor. And I know projectors aren't ever gonna be like OLED TVs in that department, but this projector's understanding of black is washed out grey at best. I think for
PROJECTOR REVIEW..............................Gray Black.....how about let just call it gray.
What about the contrast, then?
When it comes to general image parameters such as contrast and black level, the Samsung projector is good here too, but by no means revolutionary. The brighter the projector is, the more "stray light" you have to reckon with, and it is noticeable that the LSP7T has a slightly grayer black than the best 4K models from Sony, which use dynamic iris (adjustable light aperture) to achieve optimal contrast. Samsung also does not keep up with JVC's "carbon black" D-ILA models when it comes to black level.

Reviews also states dead on arrival and lot of failures after few months.
hm still lookin' out for that dolby vision on (home) laser projectors here in the states....
Im doing the philips posted on indegogo. You wont get it til march but its 2k only and will be more after the kickstarter ends. It basically covers everything people wanted in a good laser projector.

Good luck! I understand the Screeneo U5 is a UST projector but can it be used 12-15 feet away?
