Correct. The 1TB model has 1GB and the 2TB model has 2GB of DRAM cache.

Tempted. But chips on both sides. Not practical for tight laptop.

I'm very tempted; but, AFAICT the support/warranty is strictly out of Japan. I don't see any US contact info, so I have a bad feeling about what will happen if you have to RMA it if it goes bad!!

Also here's what appears to be the exact same drive that comes with a heatsink for $189.99 also with the same $20 gift card deal.
https://www.newegg.com/nextorage-...0106-00003

The Android App crashes when I try to post a deal if someone wants to post it.

Nice heatsink added in by OP, but since there is a $20 Newegg GC here's a $19.99 similar one on NE plus plenty of other options.

Makes more sense to just get the drive with $20 gc and order the $10 heatsink from Amazon.

Japanese, but it's a subsidiary of Sony and even apparently has PlayStation branding on the packaging. As another post mentioned, warranty might be an issue. Also sucks you can't use PayPal.

Unless you want to use the NewEgg GC as soon as you get it. There are plenty of $10-$15 m.2 heatsinks on Newegg.

So you can use the GC for a heatsink then grab a case fan, thermal paste, some filler item to get as close to $20 as possible. I just posted a nearly identical heatsink as OP that's $19.99 for those without taxes.

Haven't been able to post deals with android in 2 years. Only on PC so therefore don't post as many. Surprised they haven't fixed it yet....

I hear ya, DM's (or whatever it's called) is also buggy. If I get one I can see the sender and title but no body text...until an hour+ later. Someone wanted to buy my old motherboard but it fell through due to those technical issues.

Had other random crashes too.

Android apps always take a backseat to everything else it seems.

Yes, it's a money laundering issue, but it's dumb in this case since the gift card is free.
