75" is $1259 last I checked with the code. I actually ordered it but sent it back because it came damaged. I'd say upgrade to the 75" if possible. Worth the extra $300 if you have the space

Samsung is weird with their verification. I have used the edu epp without verification on many occasions when buying/trade-in their phones. Few times since black friday tried to use same account for edu discount and couldn't verify (i dont have a edu account). That being said, today randomly it allowed the edu discount without verification and the order went thru. As I said, they are hit or miss ...

Didn't see an option for edu? It's usually in the top right corner. Added to cart no option either and I am signed in. Instructions link in post from op first work either.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this about as good of a tv as you can get short of OLED?

I used my edu email, which funny enough, was linked to one of my old gmails. I haven't been on that thing in age but it worked!

Q90B is significantly better than Q85B for black uniformity, contrast, and reflections.

I bought the qn90a (last years model a vs b) from epp in both the 75" & 85" for $1700 & $1900 respectively. 85" came with a large scratch on the screen. Guys wouldn't take it back immediately. I had to buy another 85" (yes another credit card charge) and when they dropped off the 2nd 85" they took away the bad 85". Also to note all they do is deliver to your garage.

I very much like the tvs. More than a Sony oled that reflected everything. One downside is last years A model only has 1 hdmi 2.1 port which is not the eARC port. I'll have to run another hdmi cable to the tv when we start seeing more 8k content. But this B model has all hdmi 2.1 ports so you'll be good to go. Samsung should have given all 2.1 ports last year. They did in the euro model…

More 8k content? Is there any 8K content? I'm just waiting to get some sports in 4k

Pretty much, especially if you are using it for PC or gaming. This doesn't use a VA panel like the Q90. It uses ADS, which is a variant of IPS (PC Monitor). It's like IPS on roids and comes with an RGB subpixel layout unlike VA panels (BGR). This will give you excellent text clarity, which is a major problem on VA panels (very blurry text). You also don't have to worry about burn-in as you would with OLEDs. Obviously that's a niche usage, but it's a big difference maker if you need a good TV that is also a Swiss army knife. If you just want a great LCD with good contrast, get the Q90. Obviously OLED is still king of the hill though.
