Code also works with the 77" LG OLED77C2PUA. Just bought that for $2199 including the 4yr warranty.

Lmao. This is in an entirely different league than The Frame. No one who is considering this TV would settle for that.

Short answer: LG OLED is always #1
That is not at all what that review or the comparisons under it say. In fact it even says you are better of getting the cheaper C2 "which is nearly identical".

To be more specific: if you're buying a TV that you want to look like art on an easel, then the frame is the better option.

If you want a TV so flat that it looks like a moving poster on the wall, get the G2. It's 'just' a TV, but it's a talking point as well.
I do not think either look like a poster or a picture in person. The G2 issue is that the power supply is not as hidden as the Samsung and iirc is not in-wall rated. The comparison is weird though, price wise and tech wise. Oled vs Led.

83c2 and 83 g2 do not have the new panels. Maybe next year. I went with the 77 c2 for this reason.

Is there any consensus on the general satisfaction with current LG sound bars (and which ones) with these 83" LG TVs?
Or another brand of sound bar?

Four years ago in Dec 2018 I bought two LG 77 OLED TVs and paired them with SK10Y sound bars, but they aren't as wide, they were designed to physically match the 65" OLEDs.

Would never suggest anyone buying this for the "gallery" feature. Go The Frame instead.

really?

it depends on how you want to mount it, or keep it on a stand.

the Gallery should only be for the people that want to mount it flush to the wall.

Wrong if you read the checkout page the price minus the discount code isn't shown until the FINAL page where you actually authorize payment... I did my due diligence just now and "bought one" (well up to the last page) and the $797 discount was showing applied correctly.

Just don't want others thinking it don't work caaue they see your post then get lay and don't read the checkout page themselves.

This is just how misinformation gets started.

That's what the linked review states. I agree that the gallery's entire advantage is wall mount. That said to get a good wall mount setup it almost seems as though you need a box with supply in-wall to avoid having to run wire covers (with I dislike). The 83" is a fantastic price (although I have read buydig warranties are useless). 6 months ago the 83" was 7k.

Edit: the wall mount instructions seem to say that 77-83" need to be mounted in concrete on the G2?!

I'm seeing these "sale" prices on the 65" G2 today and realizing the deal I got on mine like months ago was the deal of the year!

Got mine all in for $1546 and even crazier they shipped me two and didn't demand the second one back. (Not they legally could)

The price alone is the deal of the year the second "free" set makes it the deal of the century!
Thanks for sharing buddy.
