Uh, my warehouse had it at $6.49/lb. Smallest pack I found was slightly over 4 LB. So it'd vary depending on your own warehouse. Just pick the smallest package to reduce the price per lb further.

Interesting... Pretty much every Costco I've ever been to at least has the T-bone lamb chops sitting in a styro tray. You can sear those suckers up in a dutch oven and then make a Moroccan stew with onions, crushed tomato, cinnamon, coriander and cumin and some beef base (also at Costco) and simmer for 2 hrs for fork tender chops

I saw this in my store while i was using up my reward money from last year by the end of this year. Stocking up on meats. 316.00 out of pocket i paid 34.00. loves my rewards, and costco checks.

Interesting. I didn't know Costco sold lamb in a "small" quantity like this. I usually see a whole leg of lamb for $7 a pound, or so, but it still comes out to $80+ in meat. I don't need that much,.

At this price, though? I might make some rogan josh tonight.

$7.49 per lb in Dallas today. Sell by dates were mostly 1/15, nabbed the smallest/best one.

This lamb is $3.49/lb maybe 2 or 3 times a year. It's great for roasts but not for curries as I discovered. Once you trim all the fat the meat is very dry even in a sauce. I'm guessing that regular lamb eaters know this. Smilie

FYI, only organic, pasture raised meat available in stores as sheep and goat usually die if hormones being used or if being kept in enclosed buildings like other animals. +lamb is oldest domesticated meat consumed regularly by humans, meaning it is our microbiome friendly.. Love pilaf made of bones...

Yep monday after easter since christians dont even know jesus ate lamb and never pork!
