Reminder that, unlike credit card signup bonuses, checking/saving/brokerage signup bonuses are taxable income.

Yes most banks will send you a 1099-INT tax document for the promotion value.

You must receive the offer from Chase, emailing it to yourself won't work. I've been down this route.

I dont see a transfer from chase savings not eligible as new money, would I be eligible if I do that?

Most banks consider new money as any money from outside financial firms. Money not currently held in any Chase accounts.

Hmm, It's worth noting that some of those accounts require a lot of daily average balance, which would earn hardly any interests at Chase. The same amount of money can earn like 3% more from other banks.
IMO these deals were more attractive when all banks had near 0 interest rates.

If the fine print lets you keep the money in a JPM brokerage account then just open a brokerage account and put the money into a short term treasury bill. That way the money is not sitting in a savings account earning .01%.

CPC bonus can't be earned with a Self-Invest account, so there's a management fee or you park 250k in low interest savings/checkings. Not worth.
