First game I have bought with console. Man I was so wrong, we didn't play anymore after first day of excitement.
My 9yo daughter loves this game, but the rest of the family got bored pretty quickly. But if you take it seriously and make an honest effort during ring calibration, it really can deliver you a good workout. The movements are mostly less useful variations of other moves, but if you want to get your HR up for 30 minutes without even realizing it, this works. Or you can take it easy and make this your "rest day" activity to keep moving.
I really enjoyed this game for a solid 3 months. My wife beat it and has been playing consistently for over a year. It will kick your butt if you calibrate it correctly, unless you are already pretty fit. Great way to work out at home without equipment.

A little slow to start, but good for tricking yourself into being active.

No running in place/jumping if you turn on silent mode

Lots of potential and can give a solid and balanced work out. The main story is a bit cheesy but it's supposed to be kid friendly so I get it.

Put some effort into it, calibrate the ring and kick up the difficulty and you'll get a good workout especially if you get little to no exercise. If you really want to take it a bit further you can combine moves like throwing in squats while you're working on upper body workouts, etc. As with all exercises listen to your body and don't overdo it. Slow and steady wins the race.

Playing through the main story will not keep your heart rate up. There is way too much down time with cut scenes and moving between activities. I haven't tried some of the other modes people are talking about.

Got it long time ago for my wife's valentine gift with Switch. She loved it and beat the game. It is surely helped her to be active and healthy while she was playing. Once she stopped playing due to busy work schedule she surely lost her mucsles and feels more tired easily. Not much difference in weight but it uses mucsles that you don't use daily life and helps you as long as you play it everyday just play until it say you want to cool down. (Which usualy takes 2-3 stage of story mode and about 30 min). I failed to keep it up after 3 days and started to kill some demons in D3.(WORTH EVERY SECONDS!)

the space required for exercise based on a yoga mat. The length of a yoga mat. You will need about 2 sheets wide. I am using a yoga mat on top of an exercise mattress.

I bought it for exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic. And until now,

I have been exercising with this 2-3 times a week. Great for beginners just starting out. It is also recommended for those who simply want to stay healthy.

Yes. That's right. It is not enough to gain strong muscles or strength

However, if you are an office worker with a lack of exercise. Just having a yoga mat and a mattress for exercise, You will be able to stay healthy without having to go to the gym separately.

(In my case. Aerobic exercise is running separately. Strength training is supplemented with kettlebells)

I agree. As a family, we really like to play this game with kids (ring-con can only be used by 1 person at a time, but others can either exercise along or take turns to do it). Ring fit adventure and Just Dance 2022 are two favorites to play and stay healthy at the same time.

I agree, probably best for kids. I got bored with it very quickly. Feels like a waste of time if you have experience exercising and actually want to do some work. Also feels like a waste of time if you're looking for a game to enjoy.

Very unmotivating for busy adult. I don't recommend it.

It's a decent workout, but I bought it because I thought it'd be fun. It's not fun at all and the game is really annoying. The leg strap constantly slips down, which makes you have to stop and adjust midway through.
