I would never buy anything direct from SS. Their customer service is terrible. They'll run you in circles a bunch of times before finally offering an RMA, even if an RMA won't fix the issue.
How much if a difference does something like this truly make in the world of gaming? Are there really any advantages and if so in what ways? Or is it just purely better quality sound? Is there anything in the gaming world that makes this worth such a high price? Just curious if someone has experience from both sides
The Nova Pros are sold out. So the discount code doesn't work for anything else? I was trying to input the code for SS wireless 7X and it saying I can't use it.

I had the arctis 7s, and they had an issue where one side sounded way louder than the other. Every time I contacted customer support, they would tell me to use a tiny pin and hit the reset button, and that would only fix the issue for a few days. This happened about 5 times, and every time I contacted support, they would say, "Well, it works now, right?" And I would say, "yah, but it's gonna go back to being broke in a few days." Then they'd say, "well contact us again when it does." And when I do, they would just keep telling me to hit that button, and I would be going in this viscous circle over and over. I eventually just threw them in the trash cause clearly they didn't want to repair and send a replacement.
The Nova 7X wireless is better overall value if you don't care about having ANC, or the external DAC for $100 less. Also has BT capability. The 7X will also work with PS5 when you toggle it into PC mode.
Overpriced garbage, buy a Sennheiser HD 560S and a separate microphone for a fraction of the cost and you'll be beyond golden.
Although I do love the freedom of wireless, this is exactly the route I went. My current setup is a pair of Sennheiser 660S with Schiit Fulla Gaming DAC/AMP and Antlion wireless Modmic. Although wired, I couldn't be happier.
If wireless is a must have, Audeze just released the Maxwell. They're shipping any day now and I have a pair on order. I loved my Penrose but had to return them multiple times because of the poorly designed headband. The Maxwell fixes this issue and hopefully maintains or exceeds the sound and microphone quality of the Penrose.

I've seen that the quality is still trash too. If I'm remembering correctly, the hinge is still a cheap design and will eventually break
