Have these and using them daily for work. Ive always used the lowest setting and it's bright enough. Battery's life is depending on the settings. On the lowest, 6 hours and it still had 2 battery bars

Your first sentence is true, and a good warning / information to share, but I'm not sure what logic of "superiority" you're using for the second sentence.

There are also AC powered LED lights that would be hard to pass over compared to halogen work lights. There are plenty of bright battery LED powered worklights. This is not one of them, but the only critique would be that the term "work light" is used very vaguely / broadly.

Halogen lights can be cheap and bright, but they also get very hot, and can also be susceptible to bulbs burning out and/or being fragile.

LED lights, e.g.

Can be battery powered or AC powered. They can be very bright or not that bright.

My Home Depot is selling a similar 2 pack of Defiant branded lights for $25 in store. It has the following differences:

2000 lumen each
USB C rechargeable
Magnetic back
USB out (charge phone)

Worth the extra $8 for me. Really like them so far.

It says limited stock at my store but there was a 100 or so in the aisle display.
My store had at least 50 of them. Been this price for a week now, I keep walking past the display every few day by the front door.,

I went in store to find these and found a special buy for 2 Defiant lights that are 2K lumens and USB C input. I liked the idea of brighter lights (4 settings) for about $7 more. Not available online.
Bought 2 sets. One for my mom. Nice since these can also be used to charge a phone as well.

Would the pair work for bike headlights?

Ordered 2 sets... Why so much hate for micro USB? I really don't see a problem with it.
Same as with mini USB. Once you went micro, your supply of mini USB starts to dwindle. Well now that usb-c is mainstream even cheap China stuff is coming with usb-c even if you do have to use a USB-a to C cable.

My supply of micro-USB is dwindling. So if I need to charge in a pinch, I know I have a usb-c around but not necessarily a micro-USB.

And the point is to not invest in anything with old tech or support a company still clinging to micro-USB in their products.

1000 lumens is too weak? For what, illuminating the moon from earth???
lol, that's a new standard that all LED battery operated lights should strive for

These lights will be ready for the recycling bin long before micro USB cables disappear.

sometimes paying a bit more and getting the convenience of both AC and independent DC power may be a better idea.

Sometimes, if you have Ryobi batteries.

Sometimes you don't. So you pay a bit more and get some Ryobi batteries.

And sometimes, little that you know, you entered the Ryobi eco system. And it all started with a pair of Huskies.

and for all the DIY folks who have ryobi battery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n...Zps&t=542s

don't want to spend $ on led, use 110v LED that stopped working https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbJyPttz8wM

if you have any battery operated tools, you already entered an eco system Wink

the links i provided are for illustrative purposes, i am sure same idea can be used with other brand batteries. the advantage is the existing large battery that can run significantly longer at much higher lumen output. but the idea is for DIY folks only, everyone else should skip the notion and shell out the money to avoid the headache
