To further complicate it. The Size selector shows it being 1"!

These pads leave stains on hardwood. Discolored the area. Absolute trash. Wish I can post a pic.

I got these a little while back. They seem to hold our sofa in place from sliding on a wood floor.

I would advise against rubber pads on any hardwood floors and instead go for felt pads. I've seen them discolor hardwood floors (more accurately probably discoloring the varnish) or, even worse, eat through the varnish down to bare wood over time.

Though I suppose the use-case for felt is slightly different - both would purport to protect floors but it'd be easy sliding mobility with felt pads VS rubber pads for no moving at all.

Imagine if people didn't use these for just wood floors but tile or engineered wood
Thus why I specified hardwood floors.

Also found this review; won't stain tile but will certainly leave gunk behind:

"These gripper furniture pads SEEMED like a good thing, but after a few days on a toddlers chair, there are black marks all over the kitchen tile that require rubbing alcohol to remove. Unfortunately, they are going back to Amazon"

I use them for stationary furniture not chairs. Haven't had a single issue with them. The whole purpose of these were to have heavy stationary furniture not indent or scratch my wooden floors. Besides it cost me $3

Apparently there are silicone furniture pads (that should not stain like this type of rubber). Does anyone have experience with these?

I use these to replace the crappy rubber 'dots' that come on the bottom of speakers, lamps, drawer-organizers, and that sort of thing. They work much better than the little adhesive dots if your items have the space needed for the larger pads.

I don't have experience with these... yet. But I just got a package of them and the 4" square versions as well.
The term 'rubber' for these is misleading. They are far more like a dense foam, more in line with packing material. I just thought they might come in handy, as I'm often looking for something to use to shim or prop up things.
Unlike real rubber, and depending on the weight on them and the surface, they do tend to allow the item to slide (less friction than rubber).
