Got 2 of the chrome, without casters, for $52@ last summer.
I've bought a 24"x14"x60" shelf (600 lb/shelf capacity) w/out casters for $50. I also bought a 48"x16"x72" shelf (600 lb/shelf capacity) w/out casters for $65.
Both of those were within the past month. So depending on how much you value casters, which you also have to keep in mind will effectively reduce the weight/shelf capacity (I assume for safety reasons), I'd look for something else.

Last night I actually found a 76" 5-Teir wire shelf with wheels at Sams Club for $55 https://www.samsclub.co
Hyper Tough Heavy Duty 5 Tier Wire Shelf, Black, 3000 lb Capacity https://www.walmart.com/ip/256423845
Also, the 24" shelf should be 250 lb/shelf capacity and NOT 600 lb/shelf as I said earlier. Sorry for the mistake.

Agreed. Costco/BJ's has baker's racks for on the order of $120; I've bought several and only know the price off the top of my head because I got 2 more just 2 weeks ago. Those units are generally 48"W, 72" tall (depending if you use the casters or not) and 18" deep with 6 shelves, so 36 sq ft of storage (not including the bottom/floor) ~ $3.33/sq ft. This deal is about $4.87/sq ft
6 shelves is a bit many IMHO, unless you have a lot of short things to store, so if you have the space you can get 2+ units and just distribute the shelves between them; e.g. use 2 sets to make what's effectively a triple wide shelf with 4 shelves each section.
Also, while I am sure it's not intended this way, I've interchanged the pieces between the BJ's and Costco versions and they work together (most baker's racks are the same basic design).
I'm looking for either (a) a good shelving solution that's not this shelf or something like it, or (b) an easy way to hoist this up over the molding, but I don't have a saw and I'd prefer not to bang up the molding.
Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

Also, looking at these bed risers, I think I may want to bring myself into the current era. My current bed is on cinder blocks and that makes for great storage, but it also makes the bed so high that I have to use a step stool to get into bed! If I can find risers of the right size, I'll have most of the storage, but an easier time getting into bed, and no huge blocks to stub my toes on.
