would this one be a better deal than the $556 one?
If you're surfing web, working with office documents, media consumption the Ryzen 5 6600/6650 will be great.

I'm getting it for the above and photoshop/lightroom work. The extra CPU power and better iGPU (680M vs 660M) will in theory be better, but likely I'll be ok with the Ryzen 5 too.

These laptops are highly upgradeable so I could drop in more ram on the Ryzen 5 laptops and be perfectly happy. I'm just a little lazy, so bought the one with the 32GB RAM and higher speced CPU/GPU.

Would you pick the dell or this hp? I don't game much but did want a replacement desktop that was portable
Me personally. I travel a lot and haven't played a 3d game in 15 years. My priorities are battery life, light weight. I got the this laptop before posting the deal.

If I had a laptop that could play games, I probably would try to kill some time. And it looks like the 680M can play civ6 ok: https://www.digitaltrends.com/com...-g14-2021/

If you are going to play some AAA, and it's going to sit at home, and money is not a consideration, then the dell with 3070Ti would be nice and more future proof.

You should ask yourself, if you're not gaming, why get a gaming GPU.

Basically bought the dell g16 cause the price was amazing for the specs. Now this deal came around and it's almost a $370 price difference after taxes, so considering to return the dell and keep the hp since I don't really game

Maybe this will help:

Man... I don't know what quality you want in light gaming, but these videos show 60-100 fps. For my standards it's playable. MAN.... should I return my ASUS ROG G14 2022 Best Buy deal? HUmmmmm

It's security enhancements. Honestly for me, I'll take the non PRO one and save a few bucks. Doesn't impact my life with some extra security feature that I likely won't use.

Might be different for you, so maybe do a little research. TLDR: https://www.anandtech.com/show/11...er-quality

I'd love to pay $200 more for a 3k OLED display on this guy. The low res disappointing for me, but getting this for someone that doesn't care about the resolution.

This resolution is fine for a workstation and light gaming. You really don't need any higher res for anything other than video/graphics/photo work (content creation). Text on a 16" 1920x1200 screen at 100% can get pretty tiny.

6-cell, 76 Wh VS 3-cell, 51 Wh

Even with the 2" screen size difference, the bigger battery should last longer.

I'd be glad to purchase the dell g16 from you if you do decide to return it. Read that it gets restocked every now and then but have had no luck so far.
