I like Wyze cameras, but I hate their 5 minute cooling period (unless you pay their monthly fees). So yes, if you have multiple events within a 5 minute time period, the camera only records the first one.

Wyze with an SD card is fine for most. But Camect is a hub for 24/7 recording for any IP cam with onvif/rtsp.

I got the home depot deal (2x $35), and in conjunction with Camect I'm reasonably happy with them. Ended up getting a few Floodlights with additional v3 cam in the box from Costco as well. Cheap system, does the trick for me to mostly monitor the pets.

Returned Eufy Pro floodlights due to their security concerns and ended up with 10 Wyze cams for cheaper.

They canceled my order, so... I think I may jump on this deal instead.

Having the Costco return policy (for whatever it may or may not be worth for electronics) may at least be helpful if Wyze doesn't come through.

Home Depot deal is much better. Get off your butts and go to the stores and ask them to open the cage and see if they are there. It's been weeks and still many left at my store, I just don't need anymore.

I think they'll be back in stock at HD for that price - based on being able to add a notification and the fact the v3 cameras are (I believe) fairly new.

Add a few Microcenter SD cards and you get free video playback. The alerts still work well.

Caught a video this morning, of me doing a dad-save as my son tried to tackle me, I ducked and he flew over my head, but I reached up and protected his head from smashing into the floor 🤣.

Wyze move. 😉

I have never heard of Camect. I searched and it's like a hub for cameras. What are the advantages over just using Wyze?

Because wyze knowing about a security flaw in their v1 camera for 3 years without telling anyone about it is so much better?

At least they're stateside. 🤷 ♂️

Also, in my experience, the Wyze interface is much faster than Eufy.

Had to go away from Wyze. Just too many dropping connection issues. Just invested in TP-link Tapo cameras on sale on Amazon. Didn't research them much but I use TP-Link bulbs and plugs and they have been super reliable. Hopefully I have good luck with their cameras as well.

We have been using one for our baby for the last 5 months. Does the job, we just stream it live to an iPad or our phone when the baby is napping or sleeping. As long as you have the wyze app open you will be able to hear any noises and see movement. Night vision is also great. Recommend trying these out before dropping $200 on a fancy baby monitor.
