You know what's a perfect cap for the standard 5.4 ounce can of cat food? The plastic cover on Frito Lays bean dips. I bought a four pack when it was around $3, and they fit better than the silicone version of these things, of which I had a couple. These plastic ones are pretty terrible.

These are nice when they're made of semi-flexible plastic. The last time these were $1, I bought 2 and the plastic is so stiff, neither my kids nor my 70-something parents can pry the lid off.

Someone once mentioned flexible silicon lids. Game changer.

For 10 oz cans, I've bought these and they work great. Since they are stretchy, they can be used for most size cans. I've also used them for human food leftovers.

There may be more affordable packs out there, but this is the one I bought years ago as an example.

I got a couple on a deal a while back. I use them everyday. They can be tough to get on a can sometimes though.

Literally impossible to remove from a can. We threw ours out. Get a silicone one.

I owned that lid for a time. It does not fit Science Diet 5.5 oz cans very well. You've been warned.
