I am porting out. And I used to be a big proponent of them. Got my P7 from them in November. Was planning on staying until...
They are leaving me without service for 24hrs.
Nothing the CHAT CS rep can do.
"System lock"
BACKGROUND:
1. Set up Auto Pay with VISA gift card. No error message or warnings. Has $200 on it.
2. Due date was 01/30.
3. All of the sudden, today, I cannot get SMS. I get error messages every time an SMS is sent to me. (Payment did not go through obviously.)
4. Tried to log in to change payment method. Two-factor sends me SMS. SMS error message. Try again. See that the SMS comes right after I tell Visible to send me SMS code.
5. CHAT. 20 min to get account unlocked. Two-factor is deactivated.
6. Log in. New payment errors out. SO I log out.
7. Try to Log in. Account locked too many log ins. ?
8. Chat again. Told that there is nothing they can do. I have to wait 24 hrs even though I provide credentials, etc. that I am the account owner.
Not a warning for everyone, but If you use your phone for business or if you are always in need of someone getting a hold of you, you have been WARNED.
Terrible. And I have 3 other family on VISIBLE. ... Well they were. Porting out ASAP ("after 24 hrs"), well after 20+ days. I need to pay my bill and re-activate for another month before porting or else I could lose my number. My business and family need to get a hold of me for emergencies. This is totally unacceptable. And no, for understandable reasons, they cannot take payment over the chat. There is no Level 2 escalation.

UPDATE: I just got a text from Visible that my account has been unlocked. The CSR must have escalated it. I was able to log in via the phone app and pay my bill.
Still, if you need immediate customer service, just beware. Chat may not work well for you. Make sure your payment is legit also, or you could get into an infinite login loop like I had above with SMS.
I will still consider porting out as I have needs, but I will wait to find a good plan with similar plan offerings for $25-30.
I see Amazon selling Visible SIM. Is that a better route so that you are not at Visible's mercy of approving acct or not based. Thanks a lot for the feedback.
