This table is made by MD Sports. MD Sports makes table tennis tables which are also sold under brand names Dunlop, ESPN etc

Indoor/Outdoor Model is TT500Y21007

https://medalsports.com/products/...nis-table/

Indoor Model is TT218Y22011

https://medalsports.com/products/...s-table-3/

I purchased the indoor model which was delivered 2 days ago. I have opened the box but did not assemble it yet. Package was heavy and delivered using freight services on a wooden crate.

Hope this helps!

What does that have to do with the table itself
Did he mean the table is light enough for the wind to make it fly in circles 🤭

Outdoor table top material is 1/4" aluminium plastic composite material compared to indoor table top which is 3:4" plywood/mdf kind of wood material.

Indoor table's weight is about ~160lb vs outdoor which is slightly lighter at ~130lbs

I would feel comfortable putting indoor table in garage, unless you live in a high humidity area. In garage table is protected against direct rain water. Only issues are high humidity related moisture issues and some weather related hot/cold variations. Unless someone lives in extreme climate region, imho it should be fine.

I'm sorry, but outdoor Table Tennis is only seriously playable with ZERO wind! (IMHO!)
I don't think any serious players would put the table outdoor. It is in fact funny that they have the outdoor version of table tennis.

I pulled the trigger before xmas on the indoor one - had someone with membership buy it for me and have it delivered to me. The box is massive and it weighs a ton - haven't put it together yet but I can say the box it comes in.. it looks really nice in my garage lol
Will they deliver to the backyard?

Also is there any cover to protect it from elements and while raining?

Thanks

I guess delivering to backyard may depend on driver. I am fairly confident that delivery company's policy would say that front door..

I purchased indoor model, that doesn't come with cover. Outdoor model is made up of aluminium and plastic composite material. I don't know if it comes with cover or not. May be a good quality tarp with some bungee cords could come handy for temporary relief till you find permanent solution

Also, one advantage with freight delivery is convenience of scheduling, compared to UPS/FedEx. So in case it gets delivered to front door, you can schedule it on a convenient day and good weather, and open package outside the house and bring prices inside. If someone is planning to buy outdoor model for outdoor use in backyard, best bet would be to get delivery in the backyard itself. Would save lot of headache.

Again, it's all my opinion based on one purchase of this product, so not sure if Sam's would always use freight delivery of this package (their algorithm would be looking at cost/distance etc).

I grew up playing table tennis outdoors every summer. I don't think we're talking here about serious sport. It is fine for recreational fun play. I also think it's way healthier than playing in a basement.
