The amount of times this has been posted in the last month begs to question whether this is just normal price

I want to say at Walmart it's like 5-6 bucks for a similar tube. I bought three on Amazon and one came leaking and all the packages sort of look like there's some water? damage on the bottom of the card, and customer service on Amazon directed me to permatex's website which I just haven't dealt with yet. I don't know what my point is or even how I feel about the purchase, but just providing anecdotal info.

That's a "return as damaged" issue.

I use this stuff somewhat regularly as I work on my vehicles, and according to Amazon, I last purchased this in 4/2022 for about $6 with S&S.

The Amazon return options are "bought wrong part" and "incompatible/not useful." The damaged/missing parts option (the closest fit for the problem as far as I can tell) directs me to permatex's website. The typical Amazon return options are not all there. I'm sure my problem will get solved if I force it through Amazon or contact permatex, but I just haven't done that yet.

I have some cabinet door pulls that require periodic re-tightening. Would this stuff solve that problem? While still allowing for removal in the future?

I'm assuming it would but it seems most folks are mentioning automotive usage.

At harbor Freight, they have .2oz of generic blue for $2.49 or $12.45 per ounce
Your link is to .33oz of generic #42 for $2.79 or $8.37 per ounce.

This deal is for a name brand Blue at $8.60 per ounce.
For me, it's clearly Amazon for the win.

Son of a biscuit. Two days ago I bought this exact product, on Amazon, for $7. Too late to cancel because it's already shipped and being delivered today. Boo

This is exactly what this is good for, plenty of uses around the house for anywhere you have nuts and bolts that vibrate loose.

Deal seems to be dead? Shows as $7.22 now (and $6.47 when setting up S&S w/ 15% off).
Or am i missing some steps to get the OP price?

You need to push through with Amazon CS no matter how trivial it is. They have been treating people like dirt notably on the PM fitbit case. CS are authorized to give you at least $5.
