Yeah the original post is hard to read and also inaccurate. Like, get to the point, and stop making silly claims that it is the best air purifier on the market....and call it what it is...REFURB.

1) Costco regularly discounts this to $100
2) unlike the Costco offering, this one in Woot comes with one filter and 4 carbon inserts instead of 2 filters and 8 inserts. Difference in value of about $20 depending on how much better you think the Winix branded filters are than the generic Amazon filters.
3) Factory refurbished, so the value should be slightly adjusted downward when comparing to new.
4) Your local electric utility might provide a rebate since this is an energy star appliance. I got a $50 rebate when I bought this model new from Costco. Refurb models might not qualify for these rebates. YMMV
