Think this is pretty normal price these days I think. I bought one a couple weeks ago for this price.

Works pretty well when you don't want to deal with a big compressor for just topping off some tires.

Inflated inflator price... IIRC $59 was regular price and $39 was a good HD price. As low as $29 from DTO I think which may or may not be worth it with the insane shipping charge and long ship wait.

I've been eyeing this for a while, and that sums it up very well.

DTO's price has dropped below $30, but even with the old, lower $10 shipping charge, it has been usually around a ~$10 delta compared to HD, which offers the advantage of immediate fulfillment and easy 90-day return.

Normal HD "sale" price used to be $50, and it has gone as low as $40. It zoomed up to regular $79 before settling down to $59, since before BF. Some commented that their local stores had it for $49, but none of mine did.

I've bought into Ridgid, and It would be handy to have a cordless inflator, but I've hesitated because I don't see how, while nicer, it's worth double the cost of its Ryobi sibling.

I have zero Ryobi tools so Ridgid is the only thing I've got. Agreed but in general Ridgid tools feel less plasticky and seem heftier, plus that lifetime warranty FWIW could be worth more to some. I think for an inflator that lifetime warranty could be handy. I had a $20 car plug inflator and 2 years in it just stopped pumping.

I have this inflator and I like it. The automatic feature is nice but I'd prefer an analog dial. Key feature personally is you can power via the car 12v plug or with a battery. I keep it in the trunk without the battery for emergencies, but I can also just pop in a battery if I'm topping off at home.

If you don't need one ASAP I'd wait for a lower price as you pointed out.

I'm a Makita fan and all of my tools are Makita except my pancake compressor which is my only Ridgid tool that I own. I was planning on buying the Makita inflator but had to accept it is not better than this. The Ridgid is supplied with an alternative 12v cig lighter cable. It also has the auto stop setting. This also convinced me to buy it. https://youtu.be/2J6rQSwEK9M

Instead of buying a Ridgid battery which I do not currently own, I bought this Ridgid to Makita battery adapter https://www.ebay.com/itm/13416336...media=COPY. Problem solved.

This thing is great. Built like a tank, works reliably. Only issue I've seen is that the gauge reads a little higher than reality, but use it once it twice and you figure out the delta.
