Lime has deal for extra 5% off 4. Applied twice at $0.98 each when I tested it.

Honest question - I've bought these in the past and love them, but what sets them apart from just buying a $2 bottle of lime juice and pouring that in your water (the main purpose for which I'm buying these)? I guess for ordering water at restaurants and such. Anything else?

The packets taste and smell better. It had more lemon oil than the juice bottles.

How does the lime compare to the lemon, and how do both compare to those little drop bottles like Mio and knockoffs?

The methods they process and preserve the juice are different - dry vs. wet; also True Lime/Lemon contains both lime/lemon oil and juice, and others mostly just juice.

IMHO, the True Lime/Lemon tastes very similar to fresh-squeezed lime/lemon.

Most bottles of lime/lemon juice I've seen say to refrigerate after opening. I like lemon or lime in my iced tea but not everywhere has fresh wedges available. Or some were cut yesterday and look like an experiment in a petri dish.

Doesn't go bad. The clumping easily resolved, just add water to make the juice. All pure crystallized lemon. Can't get any purer.

I have 500 cases from years ago, as fresh as the day bought. Good indefinitely.

Their customer service is excellent. had some empty packets and they quickly sent a couple of these small boxes to replace.

Maybe it's literally case by case. I've maybe purchased ten boxes of these over the years and even new some packs are a bit clumpy. After a year or more, the flavor is definitely impacted. I've found some years old packs that I've used and ended up dumping the water and tossing the remaining packs from that box. It might be fine for consumption, but it sure tastes off.

With that said, these are really good and definitely help me drink more water. They're not quite as convenient as a quick MIO squirt, but possibly healthier? Anyway, for this price it's worth trying if you haven't before.

these are small, individual packets of a dry, crystalized lemon. mio package is somewhat larger, liquid form & contains fake sugars. i always keep packets in my purse & car, great shelf life & perfect in a recipe when you run out of lemons/limes. mio states only has 30 shelf life after opening.
