A small quiet compressor like this coupled with a light flexible hose and pneumatic nailers with no trigger delay that are significantly smaller and lighter than their battery operated counterparts is a win in my book.

Except for a really quick job, I'd much rather deal with a compressor and hose than the size and weight and delay of battery operated guns.

If you never used a nail gun and are handy around the home grabbing a compressor and a nail gun is a game changer. An extra set of hands for building furniture these allow you to tack pieces together while squaring your parts to come back later with stronger fasteners. Also used one to rebuild my kitchen island. Buy the compressor hose kit and get the tire filler and air blaster which comes in handy for so many tasks like cleaning small power tools of sawdust, etc
This Christmas I built a manger out of scrap wood and 2" brad nails in 25 minutes.
Get the compressor oil to oil your tools before each use because the tanks get rust inside unless you install a water filter. You should still oil the tools with a filter.

One store near me had this marked as clearance on brickseek, got to the store and it was marked down to $172, it rang up for $149. Glad I went, they had 3 in stock but only 1 out.

I went to a store brickseek had marked as clearance, it was tagged in store for $172, rang up for $149.

Use case. Battery operated nailers are convenient and all. But weight 2-3x more than pneumatic versions. Battery ones also larger than the air versions. Just comes down to working either in convenient spaces or lugging the battery version around for something like nailing fence boards.
