My best bud's Eluktronics 17" GTX 1080 has been going strong for 5 years with zero problems. I've heard nothing but good things about this company. I'd be curious about your customer service experience with them.

Company aside, this is a great deal considering the hardware specs.
What the absolute heck are you talking about?
No it's not. The microcenter one has 32GB of RAM, 17 3"/15.6" win11 pro vs 17.0" win11 home, but with liquid cooling.

If anyone thinks this is a trustworthy company, go here to the seller's profile and click on the one star ratings:

https://www.amazon.com/sp?ie=UTF8...chant_link

There are a dozen complaints on how the company sent them cheaper laptops (bait and switch) or even defective ones and would either refuse returns or accept them but the buyer would need to pay $212 for shipping to revieve them back. I don't know how I would trust a company with questionable practices.

Can anyone say if the liquid cooling makes this considerably quieter than most gaming laptops?

$1600 +tax (let's say 8%) = $1728

Is there really someone here who is going to spend that much for a product with:

zero reviews, no "Free Return Shipping" in listing, and sketchy seller reviews?

Got my 32gb, 2080 super, i7, 17", 240hz over 2 years ago now. Had 1 issue when a ram stick went bad. Contacted them, they sent a shipping label, got the laptop back a week later with new ram. Zero complaints at all, great laptop and company from my experience.

I bought a 17 inch through them last year. Didn't like it and returned it without issue, free of charge.

My MAG-15 is still going fine, aside from the battery discharging a lot faster now. I think that's normal, but I'm not sure to what degree this is acceptable.
So is my mag 17 after about 3 years

Ryzen underperforms and is usually much cheaper while the Intel one is power-hungry and as a result, it performs much better and is usually more expensive.

The AMD USB C also connects directly to the GPU and the Intel one does not.

You have to get the AMD one of you want to do VR or use dp1.4 to an external monitor.

The Intel one does have an HDMI 2.1 connected to the GPU though.

It has a full US support 1 year warranty and lifetime technical assistance US based limited warranty.

They are somewhat known for customer service, the CEO even has a YouTube video where he is casually dressed and casually talking about things he doesn't like about this laptop and things that he likes.

He even answers like a few dozen questions in the YouTube comments on his video and Jarrod's video.

And the seller is Eulektronics themselves.

Isn't Tongfeng a Chinese company? This makes it even worse. Now it's clear to me that the laptops are subpar and inferior.

EDIT: I was telling them to Google what psychotronics are by the way. 😛
The people that like these Tongfeng oems are die hard fans. And it's pretty much the enthusiast laptop of choice.

Everything is unlocked, the bios, the power limit's, everything, with no propriety software or restrictions or weird drivers, it's like a desktop in laptop form.

And they are extremely easier to service then normal, including harder stuff, like replacing bad or damaged ports or screen.

Like for example, there's extra space where the ssd's go so you can throw in dual sided 4tb or 8tb m.2 and they will fit. And everything's Phillips head screws, and they are clocked extremely aggressively and beat everything else in benchmarks.

The niche group of people that are fans of these laptops are just crazy about them.

I'm thinking you already know that and your trying to stir up some hate 😏
