I know that sucks! But tbh I feel like I barely get rewards as a non credit card holder but I personally feel as if free shipping offsets it.

This is actually a winner for those who DONT regularly shop there. They even get to save more $ on the spot as a perk versus needing to spend $250 to get a measly perk of $5 reward certificate.

Immediate dividend is what I'm talking about.

This will come in handy since the last Best Buy near my house closed last year.
A few years ago I had 3 Best Buys nearby within a 10 minute or so drive.
I was actually just reading about more store closings that just happened. I'm not sure if Best Buy is changing things up, but I don't think people are going into stores as often so they're adapting.

I used to work at Best Buy. You should get the certificate automatically returned back to you within 2 weeks. I'm not sure if that changed it's been years.

I returned last year or the year before last. My cert is returned as rewards points. Not sure it changes recently.

When they removed the best buy rewards tier membership and replaced it with the tech membership for $$$ at the same time removing the free shipping they finally realized they were wrong
