The new ipad 2022 is a bad value to performance cost wise. I rather someone get 2021 ipad or ipad pro or ipad mini.

The Mini is faster, supports fast usb transfers, supports Apple Pencil 2. It's a different class of product. It would be arguably the best iPad if they added promotion and a processor bump - but the A15 is plenty and is essentially within 10% of an iPhone 14 Pro/Max.
