SABRENT M.2 NVMe PS5 heatsink

I just ordered a PS5, this SSD and that heatsink today. I didn't even need any of these items. But hey, it's just money. I'll make more tomorrow! Slick deals got me again!

The best choice there is in my opinion. Got a bunch of these, flawless reliability at maximum performance from a brand I have nothing but excellent experiences with. Just waiting for the 4TB to go on sale again.

Any recommendations for a heatsink for this to use with the PS5?

Looks like it doesn't ship for a month on Amazon. Oh well, I don't need it quite yet anyway.

Counts on your motherboard. Have a M.2 Gen 4 slot? Go with the 850 (especially if the difference is anything near $20 or less). Have a Gen 3 slot? Either is way faster than the board will use and will max the slot, so go with whatever is cheaper.

Back before SSDs I recall that it was good practice to use the fastest HD of relatively low capacity you could afford as your boot/system drive and to put your data on larger capacity secondary HDs, with the fastest of them storing your most frequently accessed files, to avoid thrashing.

Is that still seen as good practice with SSDs, i.e. the fastest SSD as the boot/system drive, a larger and perhaps not quite as fast SSD for frequently accessed files, and HDs serving as tertiary storage for less frequently accessed or backup and archival storage?

I'm tempted to get one for my PS5 but reading posts that gen 5 is coming out soon, I think I'll wait to see if that pushes price down for gen 4 🤞
