google youtube multivolt and hikoki battries the pcbs all are garbage. My 150 dollar battery lasted 1 charge. then lights started blinking like the videos
and others say on amazon, etc reviews. I have probably 30 batteries between bosch, milwaukee. And i'm just saying right out the door i thought, something is wierd and went to google and sure as @!@t
Now i'm sure when i mail it ship it i'll get it handled but not a good start.
I switched due to the framing and finish nailers so went full blown into that line. But those batteries are junk. Also metabo hpt support is "send it to a service center or send it to us" which is fine, but all i'll say is i have a worx took break i have replacements and batteries on my door step in 48 hours....(how they make money given the number of failures though i have no idea lol but they get it done pics, video boom 48 hours).
I'll probably keep the framing nailer, finish nailer but i'll ditch the rest of that line. Frankly, the multivolt reciprocating is like enormously heavier than any other i've used, the multivolt circular saw looks ok it's heavy too but has some nice features....but don't matter for crap if you need several expensive batteries (as you can't use the lower voltage in the multi tools) and wondering if they'll charge. drill drivers seem good, but those aren't multivolt.
I have had no problems with the normal batteries thus far. but i'm running from that multivolt stuff and selling those after no use and keepign my bosch, etc

i contacted CPO who's authorized hpt dealer who i bought it from (with the new framing nailer) "hey just bought this battery 2 weeks ago it don't charge"
"it was free we don't regularly stock that or have it anymore"
"ok well i assume i have metabo handle it?"
"probably not since it was free but you can try"
Now i don't know that, i'm shipping mine off tomorrow but i assume they'll cover it with "free" receipt who knows but whole process sucks egg considering cost of that line.
anyways...just saying be careful with that battery and going full in on that line.

I have some Metabo 18V cordless tools and batteries and have loved them with no issues. I have not used any 36 volt tools or batteries

it's pretty hit and miss. and mine failed 1 charge just like others

i'm just sayinng mine did same blinking lights, 1 charge is doa now. At 100-150 bucks a pop i'm staying off that line. Too bad bosch is so piss poor ran they don't have framing nailers in the us. I should have said ok another battery line is not that bad.
Anyways is a lifetime warranty if you wanna deal with that. But multivolt is one way on 36volt tools ...you can use them on the 18v but the 36v tools can't use the 18v. so you'll likely want need several of these36v batteries for backups and spares which are expensive and IMHO highly suspect reliability.
and frankly i really tried to talk myself into this line due to the framing nailer but the 36v tools along with the big battery are a heft to use weight wise. No idea why the recip saw itself has to be so heavy i have 3 others and nowhere near that weight now toss on his battery...

Metabo HPT is best bang for your buck on certain tools, ESP if you catch promos.. I dont know what this guy is ranting about. The battery I warrantied was also free.. Maybe next time try calling Metabo Hpt instead of CPO
That free battery deal is not free, the tools are marked up, 209 bucks for that reciprocating saw on tool barn? it's 138 bucks on amazon for the saw alone...the battery is a 75 dollar battery....jmaybe they push for the official retailers but i see how that went on the free deal.
1 in 10 failure rate on this cost of battery is high. I stick to my experience and the video and reviews of others. hit and miss.

Anyways right i wanted some cordless nailers and went hitachi, seemed impressed so yeah went a good way into the hpt line on a xmas deal whim thinking i didnt want another battery line, so i'd sell buy that line and sell the bosch even steven free right, then 1st use the multivolt battery died.
Now keep in mind before i went into that line i had seen the video and read the reviews and thought man no way.
but yeah way so that is why i'm more suspicious than you. Anyways that gave some time to think about that line...and the things i noticed mentioned heavy reciprocating saw and circular but yeah more battery life if the battery worked.
Anyways just my experience. I decided to sell the multivolt stuff. keep the nailers and some of the 18v line...the multivolt line is pretty much like having another brand of battery anyways since you can't really use an 18v bat in a 36v tool. just the other way around. Not strictly just because of the multivolt issue...
reciprocating saw blade eject is poor, and the tool is heavy without even the big battery. bosch non brushless beats it in both weight and blade handling....and that get's used a lot.
circular saw, ok i didn't get to use that the 1st mv bat died. But yeah it looks nice is heavy though.the bosch one sucked but mine is the brushed model. light and gets the job done though.
Didn't buy the sds sds nax stuff yet, it was expensive to the bosches i already have so sorta waste there.
the 18v stuff seems fine though drill/driver are nice, i like it over the bosch brushless freak, etc have now.
Anyways just my experience take it or leave it. If i called or emailed hitachi and it was as trouble free as other companies i'd have been ok i'll keep going seems sketchy batterywise but seems easy to replace but that didn't happen.
no complaints here. prefer the multi volt in the 18v tools too, but have no problems using the 18v, just hate having no battery indicator.

I also took advantage of bosch sales and clearance.. I have profactor miter saw, strong arm track circ, and hammer drill. Also Vac and orbital sander.. I have bosch osc tool which I will be selling. I prefer m12 osc..
All brands have tools that are better than others or more value.. I also own Makita and Milwaukee tools. Each all have advantages. When I warrantied the MV battery is was easier than I thought It would be.
