Don't do it. Basically final sale item. They sell seconds/defectives as new/primary and make the customers quality check them instead lol. These are the returns that the customers didn't want, except now you waive your rights to complain/return because "you KNEW they were seconds and were marketed as such"

It's not good anymore as a premium shoe but at this price it's still good for a decent shoe. No one should pay full price or close to it for AE. And let's be honest, people are paying $100 for trash Cole Haan made in china junk when they can get AE factory seconds for mid $100s made in USA. For that, AE is still a great shoe...but it is definitely not what it used to be

I got my used at least 15 years ago off eBay, cleaned them up, polished them, put cedar shoe trees in them and they look & feel fantastic.

Honestly, especially if you have very small or very large feet that's the route I would go, got them for a steal since my size is almost never found in store so the seller knew it was a limited market.

(Just don't try the casual suit & no sock look my ankles were rubbed raw in under an hour and still had like 5 hours to go.)

Def Allen Edmonds, Beckett takes months and I mean months to ship. Ended up switching residencies forgot about it never got my order

I don't know who is saying these aren't good, since I bought Allen Edmonds I have switched all my casual, formal, and daily to them. You don't feel you are wearing a shoe is the best compliment I can give them. The only problem was with their hiking shoe, nonbreathable material

They're not made in the US anymore though. That's part of the quality decline.
