If you're on a budget the Hart could get the job done for DIY work. Check them out for features, larger wheels, overall structure etc and you'll find the Ridgid at a few bucks more to be at a different quality level that's competitive with the other PRO box systems. Ridgid just needs to introduce a few more options like a drawer system and things will be golden for them.

If you're on a budget the Hart could get the job done for DIY work. Check them out for features, larger wheels, overall structure etc and you'll find the Ridgid at a few bucks more to be at a different quality level that's competitive with the other PRO box systems. Ridgid just needs to introduce a few more options like a drawer system and things will be golden for them.

Picked one of these up a few years ago as a 3 piece set. Works well, as long as you dont overload it. Another important thing to note is that mine is not water proof, even though it has a rubber gasket in the lid. Various reviews also state this. Pre-inflation boom i spent 99 dollars on the 3 pieces. I think it waa worth it.

I bought the full first edition set a few months ago when they were clearing them out for the 2.0…I think I paid around $130 for 4 pieces. I think the quality is very good. Now I would never pay full price for ANY BRAND of these sets. I think they are ALL over priced for what they are. But at these sale prices they are a no brainer.

This is the 2.0 system that solves the overload issue. This new base is vastly superior. You can disconnect the box from the wheels and handle as well.

It is also backwards compatible. They added a new feature where these boxes can be mounted on the wall with a special clip in system. I assume the other brands do something similar.

I have the 1.0 and I have been waiting for this one to go on sale for a long time.

Just picked this up from HD. I have had the 1.0 system for about a year and that has worked great. I use it to haul around for property maintenance. I really like the larger wheels on the 2.0 and the small orange "shelf" insert should be handy especially since it has a lid. If you need some more mobile storage I can recommend it.

I wouldn't really consider it a storage solution though it is a box so technically it can store stuff. There are better storage boxes for stacking etc if you are simply needing storage. This system shines when you need to move/carry items with you. Like rolling the box to the bed of a truck/suv and taking it mobile etc.

I use both this and gen 1 for the purpose of moving battery powered tools and hand tools from my garage, to a SUV then to a shop area. The base with wheels makes it easier/faster to do vs carrying several tool boxes.

The Hart is made super cheap. It's thin and won't hold up to abuse.
