Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

On the California CVRB, Tesla does not qualify for the rebate?

https://cleanvehiclerebate.org/en...e-vehicles

This website says they never renewed their eligibility with CVRB

Bought a Mid range Model 3 in December 2018. Been 4 years and happy with it car wise. Price wise I always feel I paid more but can't do anything about it. I think it was $47.5K after credit and it has enhanced autopilot. Range was 260 miles when I got it, now it's 230 or so. depreciation seems to be normal as per Tesla.
It does stabilize but I plan on filing a claim if it continues b/f battery coverage ends in 2027.
I'm down to 185 on a '19 SR Frown

Fyi… Please add charger if you ordering Model Y or 3. TESLA is not including mobile charger anymore with the car.
If you order with the car you have to pay up front. I am planning on ordering mine after I get more exact date on receiving the car. You can order them here anytime:

If I will order Tesla, in example, at February 25th and will receive my vehicle at March 10th. Still am I eligible for tax credit? What date should be considered as a purchase date: February 25th, date when the VIN number was assigned to me, or the March 10th when I will actually get my car?

most of the cards is saying the cash back benefits.. the promotion bonus is the spending requirement... chase sapphire has 60k point aka $600.. minus 95 fee.. net 505 after spending 4k... i believe tesla u can charge $3k to credit.. i know i did this with another auto dealer.. they told me that amount, not sure why. but hey i get 2% back so why not
What about the Hilton Aspire? The wife has been wanting to get this one for while for the perks. What is the max that Tesla allows one to charge on credit card at purchase/delivery?

Hilton Honors Aspire Card
Earn 150,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 in eligible purchases on the Card within the first 3 months of Card Membership.

this is why TSLA doesn't need to waste $ advertising, and can pass the savings on to us.

I used to say TSLA stock pays the bills too, but that's been down lately. I might buy some if the store yesterday is any indication of future $$

EDIT: Never mind a few post down someone stated Tesla only offers CC use for deposit.
Per Tesla: Note: Credit cards are only accepted for the initial order fee.

they don't/didn't allow CC in 2019 beyond order fee. Things might have changed. I would love to hear otherwise

what u paid early in taxes is different that what you actually owe to irs at the end of the year..

Its what u actually owe, not paid.. u can say owe $5000 but since u were an idiot, u decide to pay $10000 of your paycheck.. your tax refund will be 5k... and now u only get 5k tax credit since u didnt really owe uncle same 7500..

if this is too confusing.. talk to tax accountant
Yes, exactly. It's really simple, in one example, you can get up to $7500 back if box #2 on your W2 is $7500 or more. If it's less than $7500, you will get whatever that number is. That's it. It has nothing to do with owing more taxes after you prepare your return like some people keep parroting. It's shocking how complicated all the information out there is when it's relatively simple.

Ordered 7 seater on Friday afternoon. But no delivery date yet.
