Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Currently on waitlist at 3 dealerships that sells at MSRP - I'm in no rush honestly on a new car, but been wanting to replace the 2021 VW ID.4 Pro.

This must be your first time driving a TM3 because nothing about the interior is luxurious. That vegan leather? It's another fancy name for vinyl or faux leather.

Yes, it would be my first time driving and/or owning a Tesla; I can see that those materials are no wear luxury, but I guess the other consideration item is probably audio and the autopilot feature, even though Toyota has it's TSS3.0; still think it's lacking if and when compared to Tesla autopilot features.

Can any TM3P buyers chime in on when you ordered and your expected delivery date?

Thank you. I added 7 seater and get a final price of $56,990. The message still shows I qualify for $7500. Does that customization not count towards the price limit? Are folks buying autopilot and self driving capability?
The 7 seater Y has a $80k limit while the 5 seater has a $55k limit for qualifying for the fed EV credit.

Buy a Tesla Model 3 at $46K + tax, less $7,500 tax credit at the time of filing... or wait for a 2023 Toyota Prius LE AWD for around $30K + tax.

Electricity in California is probably $0.28/kWh, but then you're comparing a somewhat luxury car vs. econobox.
dealer will mark up that toyota to the moon. don't even dream about paying 30k. will not happen.

I was able to find 279 range model y in local inventory with 279 range new for 2k less than that. I think this is equipped with 4680 battery cells? Any thoughts on this battery's longevity?

I placed an order for 2023 Model Y standard range with 279 mile range? Its vin has A so i'm assuming it has 4680 battery cells made in austin texas.
What is the healthy charging practice % for 23 M Y with 4680 cells?
Is it similar to M3 lfp battery?
