Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

You can do that with Dmv too once you receive new plates if tesla didnt allow.. They take the new one back void it and transfer old one to the new vin
Tesla charges the local state fee for registration and new plates it's cheaper if you transfer old plates. I'll reach out to Tesla about it. If I do it later it's pointless if I am not saving any money.

Ordered 1/14 late night, Tennessee for MYLR 7 seater. Delivery date shows between March 2 - March 31. I've not seen any post on 7 seater with assigned vin. If anyone got it then please post. Im also checking inventory but nothing close to my config yet in TN. Fingers crossed.

On other note, did a demo drive and loved it. Only issue I faced was ride quality was not the best but good enough and I think it depends on road too, and may be because I was too focussed on that.
There's a 7 seater near Philadelphia that is in stock for $61.5k. Blue, 20", Tow.. Wish I was on the other coast, but I'm in Cali.

If you don't drive much just don't take it, no point adding additional expense.

For NJ drivers saving is even more, don't forget full sales tax on Corolla vs $0 for Model 3. That's additional almost 2k extra for going with Corolla. Not sure why anyone would pick Corolla here in NJ.
Living in New Jersey, I'd say they already aren't very good with major decisions!

Just took delivery of the MY 7 seater white exterior with white interior and tow package. I found an inventory car, fremont with matrix lights. There weren't any obvious gaps, but there are some paint issues:

1. There is a spot a little larger than a long grain of rice that's bare metal on front door seam
2. Front and rear bumpers are different tone of white than the rest of the car, anyone else seen this?
3. half ass wash job with adhesive from protective film still in some places and plenty of dirt everywhere.

I had to drive 70 miles away to get this inventory car, so I will deal with the service centers in local Tesla centers.

If you want a Model Y, put in an order, and then call every day to see if there are inventory cars you can transfer to.

Normal. Paint adhears differently to metal panels vs plastic bumpers.
