Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

IMAGINE dissing tesla in favor of an overpriced 50k corolla that u still need to pump gas for
Not all, but some (looks above)Tesla owners are like former alcoholics that walk around and tell everyone drinking alcohol is bad for you.

Fremont MYLR yes. MYP is uncertain.
VIN has been assigned.
MYLR / Silver / Black and White
Build code shows it as an Austin build.
I guess not all White interiors are out of Fremont.
I am not sure I will take delivery of this one. I really want those Matrix headlights.

It takes approx 2 minutes to pump enough gas to get 300 miles of range. How long does it take you to charge and get 300 miles of range? And you need a computer just to plan your long trips. Wake up and smell the coffee. And with this fire sale of Teslas due to everyone's FOMO purchases, lines at Tesla chargers can be expected to grow. And enjoy your cold A$$ in the winter because you can't use the heater because your range is already reduced 50%. PS....Starting saving for those new tires now because they damn expensive, especially if you were foolish enough to pay extra for larger tires that ride rougher. And if you ever need to buy parts from Tesla, might be better trading it in on a Corolla. Have a Good Day!
You are a real winner! You wake up and smell the coffee. You assume everyone is using their car a certain way and your wrong. I will be using mine locally. Charging it nightly in my own home, so who cares how long over night? I have ICE SUV that I will use for long trips. Your Corolla is a pile of garbage and would not be caught driving it or a Prius. Your just a one of the many sore losers here who, likely can not afford a Tesla so just bad mouth it or you hate Musk. Its OK your hate comes purely from jealousy. One day you will work harder and can afford nice things, so you have a wonderful day!Applause

you have 488 posts and nearly 450 posts have been on this thread and most of them responding to trolling. its bad enough that these guys keep trolling but responding to them is also part of the issue.
I'm almost convinced that vndragonslayer is trolling too. Nearly every one one of his/her posts in this thread is a combination of "36k Civic/Corolla", "72k Porsche", "dinosaur" and "LOL".

I hooked up my bank account to the Tesla app in order to pay for the vehicle. I won't be picking up until the end of the week, but the option is pay now only. Does that mean the money is deducted now or when I sign for and accept the car?

I got MYLR delivery data. When should I make the payment?
You shall make your payment ready, but do not pay until you at least have some look for your vehicle. Tesla understand this (even though they may ask our payment before picking up).

I went to Fremont directly for the pick up. I was given my car location, the car was locked, not allowed to get in. after examined exterior with no major issue (I would not say it is perfect but no big deal issue -- as you can comparing yours with the other cars around to be picked up, for reference). Then I made a payment (on the parking lot, with a SA nearby with his laptop). A minute later, my APP changed, with unlock option. After examine interior without issue, I just drove off, with no one cares (as I have paid before I get in).

If any issue, I was told 100 miles or 7 days whichever is sooner, to make service request. Life has been busy for me, after over a week, I have yet driven it and just logged the 17 miles from the pick up.

One business day later , Government registration paperwork mailed to me via overnight UPS, I signed and returned it (using Tesla prepaid overnight UPS).

So I like their delivery process, leaving you alone to take time examine your car , also save the SA time, without having to be with you all the time during your checking. No line need to wait for the paperwork.

DAMN! Does this sound fishy to anyone else. I received notice of my VIN. next day I was told to pick my pick up day. I waited a few hours to set up a ride. I went back into the app to set up pick up and it was gone. I called in to Tesla where I was supposed to pick it up, and they told me the car was damaged and was pulled. Did they sell it to someone else? What do you think? Is this normal?
