Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Wow that's insane. The model 3 price is holding steady, I wonder if it's overpriced now?
I'm one the fence with ordering a 3P and I haven't been keeping up with the RWD price, but it looks like it dropped to 42,990 recently. 3P is holding steady though.

Picked up my model 3 last Saturday, the steering wheel vibrate when speed above 65, the vibration gets much worse if speed over 70. Is this normal? Is Alignment or tire balancing is needed?
No it's not normal, mostly wheel needs to balanced.

Oh yeah, looks like another 500 drop! I wonder if they'll drop it any further.

Vibrating steering wheel above 65 is not normal in any new car, specifically at this price point.

if you are selling to carvana you might want to holld your ground for couple weeks.

emails received so far:

1st offer 1/27 - 13,608
2nd offer 2/5 - 14,108
3rd offer 2/12 - 14,914

vroom 2/2 -15,911
carmax 1/29 - 16,400
tesla - 13,400
carbuyerusa - up to 15,856

thing with carvana is not because there was an upward trend as values have been declining. so it seems they initially lowball with an offer then gradually go up from there.

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/pri...esis-d1510

i put an ad out on craigs and offerup at 18,900 but not much response in 2 weeks other than low ballers. after seeing similar car/mileage being listed on autotrader for under 18k, i was entertaining the carmax offer but then received an offer from autonation through the craigs listing for 16,700 after showing them the carmax appraisal. not bad for $300 return on a $5 ad lol.

that said, autonation listed the car at 21k but still there after a week.
FB Marketplace with posting in local communities/groups helped sell my Honda for 10K (Tesla, Carmax were offering 6.7K)

CL responses were mostly scams to pull fake reports from fake websites. smh

I would wait until the Highland redesign with HW4.

This is part of the reason why I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I may be missing out on the full 7.5k tax credit by sitting on the sideline, but I'm hoping that Tesla will pass on the savings of the revised/simplified platform to the consumer.

Damn $1000 price increase in two days. I was planning to change my mylr to myp 🙁
You should be able to edit design from mylr to myp in Tesla App - I believe the app will automatically choose the price as of the order date. You can give it a shot to see what price is shown and then decide.
