Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Are the Super Liner ones good? I got a flash deal of 15% + 40$ off on Amazon this Saturday, costing a total of 155$ in CA. Yet to be delivered though.
I wouldn't know. I ended up cancelling them because they delayed my shipping by 2 weeks. I got the otrifowd one from amazon and the fit is really good. Got the entire set including Frunk, trunk and subtrunk for $220.

Screen protector: I grabbed the spigen one on amazon [amazon.com] because I've trusted their screen protectors on phones for over a decade now. You could probably find some random brand for cheaper but I would recommend at the very least get one with the hard plastic guide to make the install easy.

For mudflaps, I grabbed a set of 4 from otrifowd on their website but will only be installing the rear since Tesla is installing the front for free as well as the small pieces of ppf. The free mudflaps and ppf is region specific but doesn't hurt to ask via the app.

At least they have an interior and the steering wheel doesn't fall off.

How's that FSD working out? Year 12 of Beta?

Tesla vehicles are known as much for being fast as for presenting chronic issues. Water leaks, paint problems, spontaneously-breaking glasses, MCU failures, and a long etcetera are now joined by something we have never reported: rust in front reinforcement bars.

I wasn't aware the price had dropped more on model 3. Just the RWD? Are the model 3's in inventory also experiencing the price drop?
Yeah rwd dropped on price by 500 but looks like they are not matching it even if you have not picked up.

"Great News, your Tesla Order is estimated to receive a Vin Number soon. Please complete all pre-delivery tasks through your Tesla Mobile app. If you have any questions please let us know. "

Just received this text. Does this mean my VIN will come very soon?

postpone you mean? Never heard of prepone, but I guess it's the opposite of postpone. Once you have been assigned a VIN, you should get a separate email and text to schedule your pickup date/time. You can try texting that number back and asking nicely if they'll let you postpone the pickup date. Per your Order Agreement, you're supposed to pick-up within 3 days of your scheduled day. If you cannot, and Tesla cannot accomodate an earlier/later date beyond the 3 days, they will likely give your car away to another person, and you'd have to wait for the next available vehicle match to be assigned to you.

I was able to have the Telsa SA (via text) provide me with a pick-up date that was 2 days earlier than my scheduled date. Then this morning, I got a text my vehicle was ready, and I was able to schedule it a whole week earlier than the original pick-up date.
thanks
