Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Anyone with experience with Tower FCU? Question- my membership finally got approved yesterday after SEVERAL hour long calls. Now, the loan underwriter wouldn't pick-up my calls. When I call the general line, they say they will email her blah blah blah. I need to pick-up car on 27th Feb. They have everything as far as I know, but check hasn't been mailed yet to Tesla. Is it too late for the check to get to Tesla and for me to pick-up on Monday-27th? TIA.
I had similar issue by with refinancing. I called loan officer and she did approve my loan in an hour.

By rapidly rising do you mean like instead of 1 day of builds they have 2?

https://ev-cpo.com/

This says there's 2416 new Model 3s and 1779 Model Ys... so a little over 4000 cars.

Which is roughly 2 days of US factory output.
Yeah, sounds like it is rapidly rising to me. From out of stock to 2 full days of production available in less than a week. Maybe people got scared off from reading the horror stories regarding the quality being delivered,

Tesla has already sold out of Model Y in the US for Q1 — and no more are expected to be delivered until April, report says.....blah blah blah

You can do an api call to Tesla to see your vin. It typically updates here earlier than the app, sometimes a few days ahead from what I have read.

What is an api?

Finally managed to get a shot on the rear motor. So we have the 3D1 980 performance motor, not as lucky as folks getting the new 4D1 hairpin performance motor, but a bit luckier than getting the 3D5 990 motor.

This is a Jan 2023 Austin built MYLR with "E" on the 8th digit VIN. It seems folks getting "F" on the 8th digit VIN from Austin MYLR have a good chance getting the new 4D1 motor.
Where can you find this information, I have a "C" on the 8 letter. I ordered M3 P. Thanks in advance.

You have enough time, once they get to it they process in matter of hours.
