Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

I am not fl residence (i am in Texas) I got 60mo 2.49% loan two days ago. They did not mention anythjng about fl only restriction.
Thanks.

Their website now says it actually (as of maybe 3-4 days ago) that they'll work on Florida applications only.

I can only hope the applications they already had prior to this change in policy they still process. That's reasonable/fair I think but who knows what they'll do.

I applied membership for tower, adelfi, gold coast. Adelfi was quickest, free membership but 3.89% apr. tower took my money(donation dollar) but declined my application for membership. I dispute transaction for donation and never look back. Even that decline took 2+ weeks. No response to emails or messages.

Gold coast was quick enough to process membership. Took about 10 days to be approved. However, creating log in credential was painful. I had to call and agent helped me to setup. They were easy to get on the phone and friendly staffs.

Applied autoloan with current offer (20% downpay and auto draft) got me 60mo 2.49% loan. When my VIN was assigned, i had only 4 business days to complete payment. They were so quick everything was done within few hours. Kayla branch manager who helped me responded every email or phone call in less than 30min. Check was mailed to tesla same day with tracking # and copy of check so that i can submit to tesla.

I would recommend gold coast to anyone interested in tesla loan. You will need to prepare ahead as the whole process (membership especially) can take a while. I ordered model y on 1/13. Vin assigned on 2/24. Delivery scheduled 2/28. I started process with gold coast around 2/1. Preapprval is effective 30days so timing is important unless you would need to apply again. Fed likely raise rate again in the next meeting, better lock it now
So you put GC in 2/1 and got membership by roughly 2/10?

How long from membership to loan approval?

I put my app in around 2/10 - still no membership approval :/

Staying positive/optimistic still.. all will work out the way it's meant to.

Have you had any status update? Mine went to pending and they requested addyional docs like DL. They responded fast to messages on app status page. Once i provided copy of dl, i emailed them and got response within few hours. Maybe they got tons of new applications lately? Worth to call and ask

No they have not asked me to do direct deposit. I made 10000 downpayment of 55000 car(so total amount 45000) its not technically 20% but they said it is ok.

Apologies if this was already mentioned, but how do you do taxes next year to get the 7500 dollar tax credit? Just say you bought one and include vin on a specific tax form or???

I had to have my direct deposit go in/be received before they would approve my 2.49 rate.

To the best of my knowledge, the Florida restriction went in somewhere around February 20th. I had my application maybe a week and a half before that around February 9th or 10th. I'm hoping still they'll come through.
