Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

I just closed my GCFCU loan today for the 2.49% for 60 months and I am not a Florida resident. Still waiting for the cashier check to be expedited via FedEx.
Congrats and lucky you!!

I only got one person on the phone. Was told there are 3 applications ahead of mine + walk in customer requests that have to be handled.

That was last week. Not taking my follow up calls since lol oh boy

GCFCU membership is pending over a month
Prior to that I had applied with local CU(United Teletech FCU), rate of 3.75%
These local CU is awesome in customer service, I had approval almost 2 months ago, they did not make me reapply and pull another credit report

Hi, I placed an order for a MYLR back in mid Jan 2023 (the day after the fist $500 increase), my delivery date has been moved a couple of times and it has stayed between Apr 1 - May 6 for a long time. And Today I suddenly see the delivery date got moved to Mar 16-31.
I have read on this thread that could due to a couple of reason, someone cancelled order, or rejected delivery (probably due to bad build quality or some other reason),
The paranoid side of me can't help but think I might be getting a car that someone rejected. And I am surely going to inspect the car with the best of my ability before taking delivery.
My question is, what if I take delivery of the car and then realize something is wrong, will Tesla still fix it ? Also, if I refuse to take delivery of a car, will I be place in queue for another one ? Or is that the end of the transaction (Do I get my $250 back?)
And since I am here, anyone cancelled/reject their MYRL in the south shore area of Mass ? Smilie
Thanks a lot, I have learned so much reading up this "expired" thread

I ordered on 2/1 and mine also moved up. There have been discussions that Tesla prioritize these orders after price increase so they can make more profit.

Got my Tesla Model Y.
Love the car but the lack of USS has me bothered.
Double pane windows is so much better than my older model 3.
anyways, got a rate of 5.4% which I know is average since rates are high these days. anyone can recommend a better rate in the bay area? appreciate it.
Also looking for bay area recommendations. Thanks!
