Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

When you click on "manage" from Tesla app and log in on the website, it provides details regarding your order and if you expand "more information" below, it will show all charges including destination fee, taxes, and other fees showing total final cost and amount financed as well as down payment amount there.
I am not seeing more information anywhere, it could be as I have not provided Finance Partner Information yet?

This is in the app. To get your Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement you need to fill in your name and drivers license detail first and then you go to the Financing part of the tasks and select "Self Arranging Loan" and enter your bank/CU information and the amount financed there. Once you complete that task, your online website account will generate the Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement that you need to send to your bank/CU for the payoff amount. The Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement will include all your registration and licensing fees on the form.

Text their delivery # - the 510 number.
Total will also have to factor in DMV etc.

They can tell you the exact amount - i did this.

Thank you everyone for pitching in here. For anyone else who is figuring this out as well.
After entering your Bank name (do a search with bank name), in the amount section put any $ like 40K etc. This will trigger something and now updated Motorvehicle document will be generated which will show the complete cost of the vehicle. And now if needed, you can update Finance part again as well.

You don't need to know the exact amount for the taxes. It is up to you to figure out how much you want to finance from the bank. The difference will just mean how much you will have to add for the remaining down payment when you take delivery. Are you trying to finance this car 100% or something?

Like if you want to finance $40K or something it won't matter what the taxes are because that is just what the bank will preapprove you for.
