Yep I saw it. Thanks for confirming it's not the same monitor. You can go back to sleep now and think about what you've said.
This is absolutely not a total lie. Going from 60hz to 120hz was a GIGANTIC difference. You'll feel like your mouse is stuck in syrup going back to 60hz when you even do office work, gaming has nothing to do with it. Think about your screen is now refreshing twice of what it was. The look and feel is extremely noticeable. I haven't gamed or used a monitor at 60hz for over 10 years.
The confidence. You sure that's the same monitor there buddy? Double check and we will all wait here for your response.

In the market for a 1440p monitor now and I considered this too, but I think I'll pass.

Rtings' review of the 27-inch (should also apply to this model as they're the same generation) said it's just OK. HDR brightness tested particularly mediocre at just under 300 nits. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...g5-c27g55t

EDIT: sorry, linked the wrong review. The correct review has better results. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...g5-s27ag50

If I don't already have the Fi32Q I would buy this in a heartbeat. $280 for this specs is definitely a steal

Just curious does 120hz refresh actually make difference vs 60hz? I game just fine on 60hz but thinking about upgrading.
It makes everything look a lot smoother, and you see things faster, better and more clearly. Going from 60 to 144 will be a sizable difference. After that probably much less noticeable. For example; its much easier to dodge skillshots in league of legends on my 144 monitor than my 60.

From reading online and what some others have said here IPS is better. VA is best used in a room with no light. The Lg 32" I have looks much better in the office when the window blinds are shut vs them open or with a light on. It's like day/night comparison. I have never used IPS monitor, but I've seen lots of people on SD say they prefer IPS. If I had more time to return my Lg from Best Buy I would buy this Costco monitor just to compare the VA and ips side by side to see which I like best.
VA is horrible. Never get it unless you need contract and going to use it for gaming. IPS, high PPI and brightness is good for office and productivity stuff. I'm using an AW3423DWF and thinking of going back to a IPS panel. I don't need it as I don't game or watch HDR content. Plus. it's so dim. Brightness (nits) matters to me.

I stated above a few times the monitor is only used for gaming on Xbox Series X. So you are saying VA is better? My LG monitor will only ever be used for gaming. 0% chance of anything else.

I have only had ips panels then I got the s80a on a deal and recently sold them. I just found it was so dim even in a dark office. I think it may just be that va panels have less color pop? Maybe IPS is the way to go even though I have found blacks on my previous IPS monitors to be quite lacking.
IPS is definitely better, especially in viewing angels. I find that if I sit slight off to the side (or looking at the monitor while I am standing up next to it), the screen looks dimmer and color is kind of washed out.

What nits or brightness was your old IPS? My Acer predator 27 IPS is 350 nits which is the same brightness as the LG 32 VA (Costco one) but it is brighter than the LG 32 VA. Since this Samsung is 350 nits also I guess it should be brighter than the LG

Now you have me wondering if my local Costco has this monitor in stock to buy it and return the LG to Best Buy (today is last day for return). I'm not using the monitor (my son is). After changing some settings I immediately said it looked washed out. He is gaming with it using his Series X. Decisions decisions lol

*EDIT*
Called my local Costco and the rep said this was an online item only.
No, online only. I have been checking this one for awhile when I visited my Costco

Total lie. Visually no difference. Only if the monitor supports overdrive but then you'll also sacrifice latency with that too. If you are a competitive gamer then anything above 60 hz is the way to go.
Consider making an appointment to your local optometrist

Can confirm, bought a 4K monitor for a friends computer that maxes out at 60 hz. The cursor feels like crap.
