Not sure it's nationwide or just here in Sams Club SoCal. Their drink is also bigger than Costco.

My Sam's Club scans every item in everyone's cart, whether you have 5 or 50 items, it's goddamn annoying. For some reason this weekend is a weird anomaly, the prices are pretty close to everyone else's, I wonder if people were complaining and they decided to stop it? We had regular gas stations at around $3.19 a gallon last week, Sam's was about $3 to $3.09 depending on the location and some Costco's were $2.64 to $2.75.

I'm sure you can sneak past and say you're just returning something. And then just buy the food.

I really don't see a point in having someone check for membership at the door. I guess it's added sense of security.

Its the sauerkraut that draws me the Sam's for a hot dog, and those dumbasses can't see to keep it in stock.

Hotdog or not, it's an easy choice for me between the mobile self checkout and straight to the exit door ability at Sam's Club over the hellhole that is our local Costco.

Or pay like $8 for delivery for perishable stuff. No need to step foot in a busy club and wait hours. Costco doesn't even have a proper website in 2023 lol. It's so ghetto.

Sam's is killing Costco atm but this is one battle they're losing. Costco's hotdog is bigger, tastes better and uses a superior bun

Sam's Clubs' hot dogs were very tasty when they used Nathan's hot dogs (the last time I had one). I do not prefer natural casings, but the flavor of Nathan's is very good.

Just get extra napkins for when your hot dog squirts all over your shirt and in your eyes. And contrary to someone else's post, both chains use 1/4 pound (pre-cooked weight), beef hot dogs.

I like Costco's hot dogs too (the last time I had one).
I could not care less about the 12 cents. Wherever I am and when I get hungry for a hot dog will get my money. It's been years since I had either, TBH.
