I wish I got that offer. I got a different one, that's similar but requires a $50 threshold. With ACP discount, my AT&T Fiber bill is just under the $50, so I don't qualify. Here are the terms:

Can you prepay your bill or pay a custom amount? That's how I got the cell bill one, my min spend was $75 but my bill was $60, so I just paid $75 and Tmo just applied the overage to my next bill.
if pay by checking account. $5 off each month. maybe better than this deal
Never pay anything with your checking account...
My BofA cash reward card gives 5.25% cash back in mobile/internet service catalog, better than your linked checking account payment...

This card says it only gives 3% on your chosen category now, so it wouldn't apply.
However, I agree on not paying by checking. It's much harder to get your money back on discrepancies when you've already paid. Just setup autopay from your bank account instead of letting internet/phone companies do it.

If you are enrolled free membership to premium honor or diamond level (required some level combine investment or banking cross BofA companies - Merrill Lynch/Merrill edge) to get 75% more rewards to bring 3% to become 5.25% Cashback

Unfortunately, some bills are unavoidable. Xfinity is gonna take away my $10/month autopay discount if I keep it on a credit card starting in March. Natural Gas (CenterPoint) company has never accepted credit cards.

I was going to say, Xfiniti customers have to switch by March, or most likely break even if Amex gives like 10% CB.

Yeah it looks like AT&T allows it -- I'll give it a shot at the end of the month and see what happens to the overage. Great tip
You can make a payment as much as you want. Even if your internet bill is only $20 you can still make a payment of $50. You'd just be left with a credit for a while.
