When looking at most third party bands, the magnets are not as strong or as many. The bands are sometimes made of silicon instead of leather. Additionally, i had trouble finding a third party band that had the slot for the band to go through like the apple one to provide extra security when wearing.

I purchased Lkeity magnetic leather band for $20 and i was happy with it. This is one of the closest third party bands I could find that still maintained the quality i was looking for.

Then go ahead and buy those crappy faux leather bands, no one is stopping you. I've had my gen 1 leather loop for 5+ years and it still looks brand new. Albeit I don't abuse it.

I got this before the latest discount and had to return. I thought my wrist was large but this wrapped all the way to the watch. Hoping they'd clear the medium size at some point.
