Outside of price errors/temporary deals (Samsung 980/SN850x come to mind), I can't find anything that beats this for $81, and anything better than this certainly hits diminishing returns, so this is nearly perfect.

I need a Gen 4, but I feel like prices may keep dropping for a little while.
And I just overspent on good deals for a new mobo/CPU/GPU, so I'll stick with my Gen 3 NVMe for now and see what happens price wise. Then clone it and let it be my storage drive in one of two Gen 3 slots on the Mobo.

Edit- Whoops, different account on my phone for some reason, but same human, at least I think.

The P5 Plus is maybe the worst of the lot of 2nd wave PCIe drives. Not that you'd notice much difference between them.

FYI, as Sony themselves have stated you want a heat sink on the drive. Of course, feel free to take your own risks...

And, if you do install apps on a 2nd drive, is there a preferred or standardized location, like say D:\Program Files or D:\Apps?
Same for data, say D:\Documents?
