DO NOT buy from their online store as their warranty is very very limited and handled by a crappy company. They will reject everything.
Their eBay store has longer and better warranties handled by AllState but (obviously) the price is higher.
Returns are also paid by the buyer (you) and their return policy is very vague. One place it says 30 days, then right under it 2 weeks if you want a full refund.
Then there's this disclaimer:

Please keep in mind as you make your purchase that the items Secondipity sells can be new, refurbished or open box units. They will not always look like what you buy at the store, but they should always work just as well.
These units may even be refurbished by a 3rd party and NOT Sony, so basically not refurbished at all, Lol.

Backed by our 90-day warranty, this item has been refurbished by the manufacturer or an approved refurbisher
EDIT: I want to retract everything I said above. While the info is factually correct, the experience I had with this company has been good.
I bought a black version of this. It came with most accessories and overall it works really well and no imperfections that I can tell. I can't evaluate the battery, but for $220 + tax for a black XM5 that I am LOVING this is a good deal!

Bought my refurb XM5s from them about a month ago, looked brand new, not a scratch but like someone else mentioned, I'd wait until they match the price on their eBay store. I paid $220 from the eBay store.

Any idea what the disadvantage to this is? Used/worn out batteries? Only 90 day warranty?
doesn't the eBay location come with 2 year warranty, in which case it wouldn't drop to $220.

I ordered the XM3s from this seller 3 years ago and the headphones stank of sweat and cologne. Disgusting. Headphones are something I would never buy refurbished or used ever again.

I've purchased and returned items to this seller with zero fuss. I'm not sure what your issue was, but I've never had a negative experience buying from them directly.
They also never claim that their devices were refurbished but Sony themselves. Liquidity Services is the company that contracts with Sony to handle returns and refurbs, so obviously they handle the refurbs.
If you want positive reviews of this company, all you have to do is quickly search SD for one of the dozens of posts and hundreds of comments about buying from them.

Just picked the black version up from this seller. It came without the original box but all accessories and was in like-new condition. Even still had the factory smell that I love. Very satisfied at this price
