I've been finally updating my almost 20 year old Onkyo HTIB speakers, and was watching for subwoofer deals. The Monoprice Monolith M-15 V2 went on sale. Normally $1,499 on monoprice.com, now only $1,099 on Amazon. This thing is a beast. Smilie

That's kind of surprising to see, the V2 being discontinued already. I wonder if there was an issue with it or if they are really going through the trouble/expense of making a V3 already. I'm still rocking my 12" THX V1 without issue Smilie

That's just the gloss black, this deal is for the matte finish. Monoprice plans on making that version for a long time, because it's making money. The head of Monolith started that in a Youthman video on YouTube this month.

My family room is huge at 27'Wx21'Dx18'H but a single M12 works just amazingly well, you will be surprised how much air this thing moves.

If you have no brand preference and have the room this is a good price for a good subwoofer.

Keep in mind all subs at this level are good, preference and cost is what separates them.

Just be careful if you do compare and prefer another brand, the Monolith fanboys will say you are flithy trying to deter people from their preference/brand! Teehee

I've been so up in the air on deciding between this, an SVS, or building a mini-marty. Someone tell me what to do!

Edit: Pulled the trigger. Should be a slight upgrade from my 60watt Pioneer SW8.

Just get this one while the deal is good. The only reason I'd see to not get it is if you really want a sealed sub instead of a ported sub. (Some say sealed is better for music, ported is better for movie sound effects. Sealed can also be much smaller -- this thing is huge.)
