While the b-stock sales are superior price wise (& allow you to buy the sizes you prefer), this price is actually very good when comparing it to the total costs of buying b-stock. Per ccc, this is the general low price for the last few years on Amazon.

Didn't these deals used to be way better? Not threadcrapping - I promised myself the next time I needed to replace my cookware I'd go for these, but haven't seen any deals for the past couple of years like what there used to be from Macy's etc. Genuinely wondering.

Not really. Outside of 2 short drops in 2012 and 2017 that saw low $1200s, the lows were $1400s (at least at Amazon per ccc). Given the extensive inflation in the commodities comprising these items, labor and freight, this sale price is solid in a historical context. Of course, that doesn't mean a recession or depression doesn't drop these further but that's taking deal seeking a bit extreme and you might as well buy something else that fits within one's preferred price range than holding out a $1500 purchase based on speculating on the macro environment.

As an aside, I'm a b-stock purchaser. I was just surprised that this sale price is fairly competitive so figured I'd share the insight having purchased several b-stock copper core items over the last few months.

I really like this set except for the lids. The pans are made in the US but the lids are made in china.

I was able go grab this set at my local Costco for $900 so I got pretty lucky.

This past September. Someone had ordered it online and returned it in store. They marked it down and put it on the shelf.
