Is Tide better than the Sam's Club Member's Mark detergent. That is $0.08/fo vs this being around $0.10/fo.

Depends which Tide variant. For reference the Member's Mark get's a 67 rating per Consumer Reports and the Tide Ultra Oxi (which is what I use) get's an 83. For reference the Kirkland (Costco) gets a 76. You have to test them out yourself though as I was not impressed with Persil, which get's similar ratings to Tide. Hope that helps.

CR sucks lately - their time has passed. Many of their reviews make no sense so I no longer look to them as the experts. It's easy to find reviews on the interwebs.

That's, like... just your opinion man.

Finding legitimate reviews by doing a random search is asking to be mislead. Consumer Reports should not be taken as gospel, but they are legitimate not-for-profit organization working towards the betterment of society. That goes a long way in my book.

And by your own admission, their reviews on Persil being as good as Tide was off-base. Touche!
Well, yeah as I stated it's not gospel. For my purposes I didn't think the Persil was as good as the Tide. I did not state that Consumer Reports was infallible. There is a certain amount that is subjective in all reviews.

"betterment of society"? Seriously????
Umm, Yes, seriously. I may have paraphrased, but here is their Mission Statement:

"Consumer Reports is an independent, nonprofit member organization that works side by side with consumers for truth, transparency, and fairness in the marketplace."

By all means though, go ahead with your Google search for reviews with all the links earning the posters commissions. I'm sure their intentions are altruistic.

Even CR?

But... Isn't Slickdeals all about opinions?

Do you know how much the Kirkland brand goes for?

Online it's about $0.13/ounce, which includes $3 for shipping. In store is cheaper I just don't know how much. Definitely under $22 for the 196 ounce bottle, which would be about $0.11/ounce. This Tide here is just under $.10/ounce.

Personally, I have not been impressed with the standard Tide. I would recommend the Hygienic Clean since the Oxi is not available for S&S.

For any BJs members, this is a little cheaper before S&S than the 208oz after a BJs 3.50 coupon.

Just checked and it looks like I picked up the oxi 92oz version a few days ago from the previous deal. Same size and price though oddly only 59 loads, 4 fewer this this original version.
