No RTSP support on these cameras

So from what I found out from their live stream is it is a "V4" in a way but with simple connections/housing so it's not a true V4 but it's also not a V3. It doesn't come with magnetic base and the base is more limited in range of motion. So from an internal hardware base it's better than V3 but packaging is less than a V3. I guess In a way like an iPhone SE or maybe even an iPad mini??? where its newer hardware but in older housing.
Two cameras = two SD cards
But once the stacking kit comes it's one power cable.
They wanted to go back to being a "low priced camera company". they mentioned there are going to be a lot of different cameras coming out in the future like wide angle, super wide angle, 5x, 7x zoom cameras and other options to add onto this "OG" ecosystem.
The V3 is compatible with other items like spot light, garage door, and other items where as the OG ecosystem won't be.
It will be two series: a higher end series and a lower end series and each will be compatible with their own system. So instead of buying multiple high end cameras for simple areas you can buy cheaper cameras that do one specific job for that one location. like instead of buying two OG cameras and stack them for a wider view, you would just put a V3 pan in that location. and instead of putting a V3 or V3 pan to see down the side of the house you would just put in an OG or OG telephoto to see the entrance gate down the side of the house.
I guess that would be the best way to put it. Each OG camera will do one specific job with a processor and sensor that is better than the V3 so it's not a V3 replacement. Hope this helps
Own multiple Wyze cameras all different versions for years, no issues. No subscription here either. I put an SD Card in each one and I go to timeline to view if I need to.
I don't like paying for subscriptions and didn't want to set it up and then cancel it.
It's not that kind of trial unless you set it up that way. You aren't required to enter anything. When the trial ends, the paid features just aren't on anymore.
I read thru these comments and apologies if I missed this.
Does anyone know for sure what happens with these OG cameras if you do NOT have a sub. You are recording 24/7 on the sd card, but I currently use the 12 second recording on cloud as time markers to find what I want.
Will notifications still work, there will just be no video?
Will person detection work for those notifications?
Can you run a wyze switch or lightbulb based on movement on an OG cam that has no sub?
this youtube video might help you. Is the Wyze Cam Free Ride Over? New Cams Require Subscription for Some Features https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqejcLjaYCE
I noticed that the new Wyze cameras that came out recently do not have the same free features as the prior editions did. In this video I'll walk through what features you'll now have to pay extra for.

Is it able to auto delete data from the card when full? If so, how many days are you able to capture on the SD card?
I've 4 V3 cams from previous deal, thinking if I should refund and get OG.
I haven't install the V3 yet so am I supposed to still have cam plus lite with V3 but not the OG? Improved features of OG are siren and spot light?
Same here, asking for trouble with the free trial. The Home Depot v3 cameras made me jump through more hoops to have the free monitoring that only records a few seconds and takes 5 mins to start again. My other v3 cameras had that option instantly now you have to find the free subscription while constantly getting prompted to upgrade unlimited. The cameras I do have unlimited on I canceled the subscription once it auto renewed on me and the sent me a way discounted price option
Which hoops did they make you jump through?
When I activated my V3 it was a matter of a few clicks to activate the promo, no info even needed.
I think the "way discounted price option" is the LITE plan with the model that you can choose what you wish to pay (that everyone has access to). You could even select $0.

WRONG info on these new OG models or the pan v3, I linked to youtube video a few posts up, where guy goes over how these latest models no longer allow the LITE PLAN. That is why I posted the Link about difference between pan 3v, OG models that removed the abiltiy to use LITE plan.

I'm AWARE and your linked video was EXCELLENT.
I'm not SURE that you actually READ the POST that I QUOTED.

The difference is you don't need to subscribe for the AI to detect people. The regular V3 you have to pay for camplus to get any image recognition. You don't need a subscription or cool down If you have a $15 micro SD card, it'll record 24/7 . My 64gb SD card gets me 5-6 days of continuous recording.
Not sure why you're thinking this is "useless", I have several and they work perfectly with SD cards and AI detection. No subscription, no reoccurring cost.
If you don't actually have the product, you should read up more about it before making false statements.
Also amazing night video. I keep them inside the windows pointing out and *don't* use the infrared light on my v3 for super cheap security cam footage.
Was trying to see if these OGs are as good at night vision.

... thanks for the clarification.
... I have the v2 and v3 models, and it seems like that is the last devices we can use LITE on with Wyze new line up. I'm glad I bought my HOME Depot v3's on the super sale, and got the last model that works with LITE.
I'm glad I didn't buy the OG cams or the PAN v3, knowing this info... before I watched that video, I was ready to buy them. Just want to alert others, so they know what they will be giving up.

It took 5 min to climb up to my v3 camera, pull out the SD card, extracted the sd_root folder from GitHub download onto the sd card, popped it back in, a nice voice said the custom firmware loaded. All the original features and WyZe app continued to work like normal.
I popped the card out again, edited the config file mentioned in the directions to add an OpenSSL key for passwordless ssh login from my ubutuntu box and enabled other things like rtsp streams.
I added the rtsp streams to my frigate box and I have the best NVR and local people detection without any company or subscription. It's best of both worlds with app and sd recording working great on Samsung endurance cards while also getting features I want and centralized recording on my Home Assistant/Frigate Ubuntu server.

* Are either Wyze Cam OG or Wyze Cam OG Telephoto Cam Plus Lite compatible?

Edit - Poster below found these new cameras are not eligible for the Cam Plus Lite sub.
